The book- Amiya Chakravarty: in English Translation was first published in the year 1990. It was possible due to the keen efforts of Haimanti Chakravarty, wife of Amiya Chakravarty. Amiya Chakravarty wished some of his poems to be published in a book which was translated by his friends and followers. But it was not possible in his lifetime. Later on, Haimanti Chakravarty collected those poems and intended to fulfill her husband's wish. The book was reprinted after being unprinted for three decades.
