One of the pleasures of reading books on travel is the vicarious journey that they take the reader on. It is because of this that travel writing has been a genre that interests many. This travelogue on Ladakh is an addition to the genre, taking the reader on a journey, revealing facets of the fascinating land of Ladakh. Sonali Chanda begins by referring to the Moroccan world traveller Ibn Batuta in her Introduction to this book.
